Zippermast looks back on an extremely successful participation in Enforce Tac in Nuremberg. The international trade fair for internal and external security provided the ideal setting to present innovative developments, establish new contacts, and deepen the exchange with representatives from politics, government, industry, as well as with customers and partners.

New mast sizes – the portfolio is complete

A key highlight of our presentation was the expansion of our product portfolio. With the three new mast sizes, we now offer a total of six different size variants . This allows us to cover the entire range of applications requested by our customers.

  • The smallest mast is barely larger than a beer mug in its basic size and reaches an extension height of 1.2 meters .

  • The largest mast, however, is reminiscent of a wine barrel in its dimensions and can be extended to an impressive height of 8 meters .

This allows us to offer solutions ranging from highly mobile, compact systems for transport by soldiers or unmanned systems to high-performance platforms for demanding sensor and effector applications with high payload weights.

One of the new sizes was already presented at the trade fair in a contractually relevant configuration: the Zippermast shown in combination with an Comrod antenna represents a key function in the Bundeswehr's digitization project and will be used on a heavy protected wheeled vehicle .

Furthermore, we demonstrated how our adapter solutions enable a quick, tool-free, and safe exchange of different payloads in the field. Whether reconnaissance sensors or weapons, the modular interface concept allows for the rapid exchange of various payloads, depending on the mission. Whether integrated or dismounted, the system's modularity and the ability to use existing mast-mounted systems represent a significant capability enhancement for the troops.

Visible partnerships: Mast integration at Securiton

Another Zippermast was on display at the booth of Securiton Germany. Securiton is part of the EU-funded BorderForce project and uses our mast as a support system for radar systems.

The key advantage in this application: our mast precisely reports its current extension height at all times . This continuous feedback of the current extension height enables exact system calibration and reliable integration into higher-level command and sensor networks – a crucial added value, especially for radar-based position sensing.

The presentation at the partner booth once again underlines the versatility of our technology and the successful collaboration with system integrators in the European environment.

Patent pending: Automatic Tensioning Device (ATS)

Our newly developed Automatic Tensioning Device (ATS) , which we have just applied for a patent on, attracted particular interest.

The ability to deploy and remotely control systems is one of the most critical requirements on the battlefield. Consequently, the ATS enables remote tensioning at any desired height without any manual intervention. This further increases the robustness of the mast system and allows for the deployment of additional payloads. Users benefit from significantly simplified handling and maximum flexibility – especially in dynamic operational situations.

Innovation in use: self-leveling unit in the ZIM project “RobInspec”

Another milestone demonstrating Zippermast's innovative capabilities is our self-leveling unit , which is currently proving its usability in the civilian sector within the framework of the ZIM-funded "RobInspec" project. Together with our Zippermast, it is integrated onto a robot to automate the inspection of solar parks .

The unit ensures that the mast remains precisely aligned even on uneven terrain – a crucial prerequisite for reliable inspection and sensor data. The project impressively demonstrates how our technology combines classic mast applications with modern robotics, opening up new fields of application.

Valuable conversations and new potential

In addition to the new products, the focus of our presence at Enforce Tac was primarily on intensive discussions with customers, users, prospective clients, and partners . The personal exchange demonstrated once again the high level of interest in flexible, modular mast solutions.

Together, we discussed specific technical and tactical deployment scenarios, identified new requirements, and initiated promising project approaches. Through numerous discussions, we were able to recognize new potential for collaborations and applications – both in the defence and security sector and in industrial and infrastructure scenarios.

All sides have confirmed that sensors like effectors deployed in the field or operational area, remotely controllable and with a degree of autonomy, are the right approach for reconnaissance, surveillance and protection of the users. To enable operations from cover, as well as to meet the fundamental "line of sight" requirement of most payloads, the Zippermast is able to enhance the capability of countless payloads.

Enforce Tac has thus served not only as a presentation platform, but above all as a catalyst for future projects and strategic partnerships.

Political visit to the exhibition stand

We were delighted by the visit of Tobias Gotthardt , State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Wolfgang Fackler , Member of the Bavarian State Parliament. We sincerely thank them both for the time they took to exchange ideas at our booth and for the open discussion about the challenges and opportunities facing innovative medium-sized companies.

In doing so, we were able to address three key points in particular:

  1. The stronger involvement of SMEs in relevant committees , in order to incorporate practical experience into strategic decisions at an early stage.

  2. A practical budget for innovation design and pilot projects that enables companies to test new solutions under real-world conditions.

  3. The structured transition from pilot projects to procurement , so that successful innovations can be implemented more quickly.

Conclusion

Enforce Tac 2026 was a complete success for Zippermast. With new products, forward-looking developments, valuable political discussions, and intensive exchange formats with potential customers and partners, we were able to provide important impetus and further strengthen our position as an innovative partner for defence and security solutions.

We thank all visitors for their great interest and look forward to the next steps together.
