Mast solution reinterpreted
ZIPPERMAST
how the ZIPPERMAST works
Three stainless steel bands rolled up in the mast base are driven up and down synchronously by a central lead screw.
The straps interlock like a zipper, forming a stable, triangular mast. The cables for the power and data supply of the payload are protected inside the triangle.
Generic interfaces on the mast head and mast base allow for quick exchange of payloads and platforms.

-
Self-locking
when extended, the mast rests on the lead screw. The mast holds its position in the event of a power failure.
-
Consistent:
the lead screw solution ensures maximum consistency in power and speed in both directions.
-
Mechanical protection
protected guidance of the payload cable inside the mast from the mast base to the mast head.
-
High breakaway torque
extremely high breakaway torque due to the lead screw solution in the event of icing, soiling, etc.
-
Open yet sealed
electronics and sensitive mechanics hermetically sealed, remaining technology open and pressure-resistant. This makes ZIPPERMAST one of the very few telescopic masts that can be operated under water.
-
Easily scalable
The design of the ZIPPERMAST is easily scalable so that new sizes can be realised quickly.
